Hello, I’m Dr. Eyyup Esen! As a first-generation college student, parent, and passionate educator, I bring a unique perspective to academic coaching. With a PhD in Higher Education and years of experience helping students secure scholarships, navigate the FAFSA process, and craft standout applications, I’m here to guide your family through the journey to higher education.

I’ve supported thousands of students as an academic advisor at Metropolitan Community College and have partnered with over 50 organizations to deliver impactful presentations on college access and financial aid. My work with at-risk, first-generation, and adult learners has deepened my commitment to empowering students to achieve their goals.

As a Kurdish-Turkish individual, my journey has been shaped by a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and inclusion. From leading the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City to organizing transformative community events, I’ve built bridges between people from all walks of life. My achievements have been recognized with awards like the University of Kansas’ Clark Coan International Student Award and the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council’s Table of Faiths Award.

What should I expect during a college planning session?

During a session, we’ll discuss your educational goals, college options, application processes, and financial aid opportunities. I’ll offer personalized advice to help you identify which schools are the best fit based on your interests, academic strengths, and financial situation.

I recommend reviewing the scholarship essay prompts and drafting your essay before our session. Together, we’ll identify areas for improvement and discuss strategies to make your essay stand out to scholarship committees.

Yes, I can guide you through the FAFSA process, explaining the necessary documents and assisting you in completing each section. While I can’t submit the form for you, I’ll ensure you feel confident in submitting it independently.

Each session lasts up to one hour, allowing us to focus on specific areas such as FAFSA guidance, scholarship essays, or college admissions.

A one-hour session is $200. We can focus on any area of college planning, including FAFSA, scholarship essays, college selection, or admissions support.

At this time, I do not offer discounts or packages. Each session is priced at $200 for one hour.

All of the sessions are virtual, as I serve students across the United States. This allows for greater flexibility and accessibility regardless of location.

Initial Consultation (1 hour): $225 (required for all new clients) Subsequent Sessions (1 hour): $200 Optional 2-Hour Sessions: Available upon request and billed at the corresponding hourly rate.

Payments are accepted exclusively by credit card at the time of scheduling.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours are non-refundable. Please email us to take the first step toward achieving your academic goals!
